I am glad you found our website and hope you are discovering more about us. We are a little church but full of diverse people at various stages in their spiritual journeys who are working together to love God, to love each other, and to love our community. Sunday morning worship begins 10:30 am and we look forward to you joining us here.
We hope to see you soon!

Where and When Do We Meet?

We are located at 43W510 McDonald Rd., Campton Hills, IL 60124. Click here for location details. Our Sunday Worship Service is at 10:30 AM.

What Should You Expect at the Sunday Worship Service?

Come as you are. At CECC some wear shorts and t-shirts while others wear business casual atire and dresses. If you have babies or toddlers, you can either bring them to our nursery room when you arrive or allow them to sit with you during the worship service. Older children (elementary) are dismissed for Children Sunday School after "Moment with Children" or before sermon. Our worship service begins at 10:30AM with an opening song then a welcome, announcements, and a chance to greet each other. Next, we sing several songs with the words for the songs shown on our projection screen. We sing a lot of traditional hymns played by a pianist. We have a band "Good Ole Boys" to sing country gospel songs for some services.  Sometimes we provide a prayer time for anyone to speak up their prayer requests to the congregation and we pray together. Someone will read a passage from the Bible selected by the Pastor who explains what it means, and shares how it applies to our lives. We then provide an opportunity for members to financially support the various ministries. During the time passing the offering, the pianist plays or we might have special music.  We sing the doxology after offering. Finally, we sing a response song together. Every service we sing an Amen song at the end, receive a final blessing, and continue worshiping God the rest of the week in our homes, workplaces and community. We all are encouraged to stay in the narthex area for a brief fellowship after worship service. Coffee and lemonade are served.
