Ministries - Children / Youth
We desire that children begin to develop a personal relationship with Jesus by learning the stories of the Bible, finding their own place in the biblical story, and experiencing God's love for them through caring relationships with adults and with their peers.
We value children's participation in worship because they are part of our Christian community. Children are invited to offer their talents and gifts in worship by singing, receiving the tithes and offerings, reading scripture, lighting the candles, and many other fitting expressions our worship services. Often during our worship services, we have a short time dedicated to children, welcoming them to the front of the church to proclaim the Good News with them, called "Moment with the Children". After "Moment with the Children", they are dismissed to Children's Sunday School.
Our Children's Sunday School have two classes: 1/ Age 2-4; 2/ Age 6 or above. Bible lessons are taught through reading, songs, crafts, games, movies, puppet shows, etc. It is a fun time for them to learn about God's teachings. Age groups are designed for our church needs.
Discipleship/Confirmation (D/C) Class (grades 7-9): Students are led to a journey of faith, a journey that will bring them close to God as together you explore the Bible and beyond. The Old Testament curriculum consists of twenty-eight sessions, and the New Testament and beyond consists of thirty. You may begin with either year. The curriculum has three major component: leader's guide, student journals, and parent/mentor guides.
